Conseils d'entretien :
To preserve their quality, we recommend washing them cold and gently, and air-drying them.

Le Taffetas

Taffeta is a fine, rigid fabric, usually made from silk or synthetic fibres such as polyester. Here are a few tips to help you understand it better:
Main features:
Appearance: smooth, slightly glossy, with a ‘paper’ effect to the touch.
Hold: rigid, which allows it to retain its shape (folds, volumes, etc.).
Noisy: it has a characteristic ‘rustle’ of sound, often associated with ceremonial elegance.
Feel: dry, sometimes slightly crunchy.
Weave: tightly woven fabric, with a warp thread and a weft thread of the same size.
How it's used :
Fashion: evening dresses, voluminous skirts, structured jackets, sophisticated blouses.
Decoration: curtains, cushions, prestigious tablecloths.
Taffeta is a fabric with a noble, theatrical allure, perfect for pieces with a clean fall and sculptural volumes. It immediately evokes a certain idea of refinement and solemnity.
Care instructions:Sensitive to heat and rubbing, prefer dry cleaning, especially for silk versions.
Le Lyocell
Or commonly known as ‘Tencel
Lyocell
This is the generic and official term for this ecological fibre made from wood pulp and commonly known as ‘Tencel’ - (registered trademark belonging to the Austrian company Lenzing AG).
Regenerated cellulose fibre
→ A more technical term used to describe fibres produced from plant matter (such as wood).
Eco-responsible viscose
→ Although technically different, viscose can be likened to lyocell in the textile imagination, as long as the sustainable origin is specified.
Wood fibre / Sustainable plant fibre
→ Descriptive expressions
Cellulose fibre textile
→ A more neutral term, sometimes used in technical or regulatory contexts.

Our Lyocell creations
Linen - viscose

Why linen - viscose?
The combination of linen and viscose in Lauren Vidal's designs combines the authentic charm of natural fibres with the modern fluidity of technical textiles.
Linen, from the plant of the same name grown mainly in Europe (particularly France and Belgium), is an eco-friendly fibre renowned for its breathability, strength and elegant, slightly irregular texture.
Viscose, for its part, comes from plant cellulose (often extracted from wood) transformed into a textile fibre using a controlled process. By combining the two, Lauren Vidal creates pieces that are both structural and light, comfortable and elegant, perfect for a summer wardrobe that is chic, responsible and resolutely contemporary.
Care instructions :
To preserve the beauty of a linen-viscose garment, wash cold or at 30°C on a delicate cycle, with a very gentle spin. Leave to air dry on a hanger and iron at a medium temperature, ideally on the reverse side.
