Maintenance & Materials

Wool is a noble natural fiber that requires special care to preserve its softness and shape. Here are some tips for maintaining your wool knitwear:

Washing:

• Prefer hand washing: This is the gentlest method for wool. Use lukewarm water (30°C maximum) and a special wool detergent.
• Machine wash: If you choose to wash by machine, choose a wool programme at a low temperature (30°C maximum) and a very gentle spin.
• Avoid: Hot water, harsh detergents, fabric softener, bleach and tumble drying.

Drying:

• Dry flat: Lay your sweater out on a flat surface, away from any heat source.
• Reshape: While drying, reshape your sweater by gently pulling on the edges and sleeves.
• Avoid: Twisting or wringing your sweater may cause it to lose its shape.

Ironing :

• If necessary: Iron your sweater at a low temperature on the reverse side, using a damp cloth between the iron and the fabric.
• Avoid: Ironing directly on the wool may leave shiny marks.
